The Tennessee Titans confirmed they interviewed Mike Munchak Monday as the search for a new head coach intensified, The Tennessean reported.Munchak, the Titans' offensive line coach for the past 14 seasons, is considered the favorite for the position vacated by the departure of Jeff Fisher last week, with offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger and Ray Sherman also expected to interview.
Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported Monday that Sherman, who spent the last three seasons as the Dallas Cowboys' wide receivers coach, likely will interview. Sherman earlier in the day told Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean that while he had not heard from Tennessee he "would love to."
"It's a great place,"Sherman said. "I know the organization and I know a lot of the coaches and players."
