Super Bowl Hangover Eased Slightly by Constant Coverage, Combines

Football fans across the globe will either fly to Dallas to experience one of the world's most exciting yearly events or surround themselves with friends and strangers at a place where food and drinks will be in abundance. But as the Super Bowl draws near, football fans will begin to realize that the Super Bowl is the last game of the season.

What a bummer.

Shortly after the Super Bowl, most football fans slowly get into other sports, similar to getting over a hangover and beginning to sober up. The NBA and NHL will be in full effect and college basketball starts to take over from March into April. From there, baseball jump-starts and let's be honest, that's not the most exciting time of the year for most football fans.

But thanks to the NFL Network and coverage of rookie combines, easing into the offseason becomes much smoother.

The NFL combines takes place February through March and the NFL Draft in April stirs the pot of football excitement a bit, followed by televised mini-camp action. For the NFL Network, football never ends, but they know that life without game day can be boring, so they create their Top 10s of anything.

Heck, there was a "Top 10 Uniforms" segment to help kill time. Then July hits and the NFL Network starts rolling with their "NFL Replay" of past contests and football fans will watch them as if they never witnessed those games and have forgotten their outcomes.

The Super Bowl victory buzz in either Pittsburgh or Green Bay will carry them into the next season, while the football fans in the cities across America will be begging for something else to talk about.
