Joey Galloway Released by Redskins

The Redskins placed 39-year-old wide receiver Joey Galloway on waivers Saturday, possibly signaling the end of Galloway's 16-year NFL career.

Galloway, who was signed in April, actually won a starting spot in training camp for Washington and was in the Redskins' starting lineup for four of their first five games. He made just seven catches over that span, though, and had just five receptions since then for a total of 12 on the season.

If he does call it quits now, Galloway will finish his NFL career with 701 catches and 10,950 yards receiving, as well as 83 total touchdowns (77 on receptions).
