Earl Watson to Sign With Utah Jazz

Filed under: Jazz, Pacers, NBA RumorsVeteran point guard Earl Watson has agreed to sign with the Utah Jazz, a league source told FanHouse.

Watson's deal, according to the source, will be guaranteed. The terms are otherwise not known at this time.

Watson is entering his 10th season, having averaged 7.8 points, 5.1 assists and 29.4 minutes per game and starting 52 times with Indiana last season after he won the job over T.J. Ford.

The 31-year-old has been on the move virtually nonstop since 2005, when his three-season stint with Memphis came to an end and he spent the following five seasons with Denver, Seattle (later Oklahoma City) and the Pacers.

He should see substantial time with the Jazz behind All-Star Deron Williams, as fellow point guard Ronnie Price is the only other option for Utah coach Jerry Sloan.
