Rangers Restore Order in Game 3 Win

Filed under: Giants, Rangers, MLB Playoffs, World SeriesARLINGTON, Texas -- Washington, D.C. wasn't the only place where a little sanity came into focus Saturday.

After having their lunch handed to them twice in San Francisco, the Texas Rangers returned home and followed the lead of starter Colby Lewis and first baseman Mitch Moreland to a 4-2 victory Saturday night.

"After those two games in San Francisco, we needed to just be ourselves, do what we do best," reliever Darren O'Day said.

O'Day had been one of the culprits in San Francisco, but back on his home turf, he threw an unhittable slider to Buster Posey in the eighth inning. Posey, the Giants' best hitter and the only San Franciscan all night who batted with a chance to tie the game, grounded out to short. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
