US Midfielder Jermaine Jones Tears Ankle Ligament

The 28-year-old midfielder, who impressed during his first two appearances with the U.S. early this month, tore one ligament and "damaged another" during Schalke 04's German Cup victory of FSV Frankfurt on Tuesday, according to this report on FIFA's Web site.
