Filed under: Chicago BearsThe Chicago Bears have made a move at defensive end.
The Bears announced on Tuesday that they've signed defensive end Charles Grant and released defensive end Mark Anderson.
Grant (pictured) started all 16 games for the Saints last season and had 5.5 sacks. At age 32 he's not quite the same player he once was, and the Dolphins cut him last month after he looked unimpressive in training camp. But he's an experienced and proven veteran, and the Bears clearly think he has some gas left in the tank.
Grant, the 25th pick in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Saints out of Georgia, had been playing with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
