Kansas State vs. Syracuse: Pinstripe Bowl

The Kansas State Wildcats (7-5) and Syracuse Orange (7-5) will play in the first ever Pinstripe Bowl, the first bowl game played in the Bronx in 48 years. The game will go down on Dec. 30 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium.

This is the third bowl contest between the two teams. They met originally in 1997 at the Fiesta Bowl and again in 2001 at the Insight.com Bowl. Kansas State won the first contest, 31-18, with Syracuse tying the series with a 26-3 win in the second matchup.

Syracuse hasn't played in a bowl game since 2004. For Kansas State, it's been since 2006.

The matchup to look out for is Kansas State's Daniel Thomas (pictured) against the Orange's weak rush defense. Thomas was second in the Big 12 with 1,495 yards and tied for the lead with 16 touchdowns. The Orange closed the season giving up 172.5 yards per game on the ground over the last four games of the season.
