But on May 14, Simon Gagne sealed one of the most unlikely comebacks in NHL history. His tally with seven minutes left in regulation allowed the Flyers -- who were trailing 3-0 in the second-round series and by the same margin in Game 7 -- to overtake the Boston Bruins with a 4-3 decision.
"It's unbelievable to be part of something like that," said Gagne, now a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning, after the game. "All the guys are happy to be part of something big like that. We didn't do it the easy way, but we are part of history now."
