Maxim Lapierre Traded to Anaheim

While it's easy to get lost in the Winter Classic madness, there are still 28 other teams in the NHL doing business and playing games. On Friday, the Montreal Canadiens traded agitating forward Maxim Lapierre to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for defenseman Brett Festerling and a fifth-round pick in the 2012 draft.

Lapierre, 25, has five goals and three assists for Montreal this season and plays a physical role as an agitator always looking to stir up some trouble and get under the skin of his opponents. He usually succeeds. His addition to an Anaheim roster that is already a chippy and physical team, currently second in the NHL in penalty minutes with 626, makes the Ducks even more annoying and frustrating to play against.

With Lapierre on the roster, the Ducks now have three of the top-30 most penalized players in the NHL with he, Corey Perry and George Parros.
