Maurice Jones-Drew, Marcedes Lewis Among Jaguars Pro Bowl Selections

Marcedes Lewis spent the season emerging as one of the NFL's top tight ends.

On Tuesday, he emerged a little more.

Lewis, a fifth-year veteran and a key reason the Jaguars surprised many observers much of the season, was one of three Jaguars players named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster Tuesday, with the others being running back Maurice Jones-Drew and fullback Montell Owens.

Jones-Drew, who also made the game last season, was named a starter, and Owens made it as a special teams player.

Lewis has started 15 games this season, catching 54 passes for 674 yards and nine touchdowns.

"I'm so proud of this group of players, as each one sets the example for others to follow," Jaguars general manager Gene Smith said. "Pro Bowl recognition is a tremendous achievement and speaks volumes for the commitment they have made, as well as their teammates."
